Keeping it in Context

I am an ordained minister and a 2022 graduate of the Awakening School of Theology, where I had the privilege of studying under the late Dr. Michael S. Heiser. I grew up in a small church in Arkansas and served in every capacity that was needed. Although I always had a heart to share God’s Word, I didn’t formally accept my calling until 2013 in Little Rock.

After serving in local churches and traveling to assist Dr. Heiser, the Lord put it on my heart to begin a new work that could reach more people. My wife Kenyada and I started the YouTube channel Keeping It in Context to discuss the Bible within its own ancient context—without filtering it through modern church ideas or traditions.

We are guided by Jesus’ final command:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” — Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)

I have five children from a previous marriage, and I have been married to Kenyada for 11 years. We look forward to whatever God has planned as we help others read Scripture the way it was meant to be read.
